Practice Rounds provide checkpoints at critical junctures in a level, enabling you to restart from the midpoint of a challenging section rather than returning to the beginning. It is more prudent to allocate practice attempts to the sections that consistently conclude your runs, rather than arbitrarily consuming them in an attempt to complete the entire course, as the number of attempts is restricted per level.
