I’ve finished writing my children’s story and now I’m trying to understand the process to hire children book publisher support, but I’m not sure what to look for. Some publishers focus mainly on editing, while others also handle illustrations, formatting, and distribution. Since I’m new to this, I want to make a careful decision. For authors who have gone through this, what factors helped you choose the right publisher for your children’s book?

I have been in the research phase for longer than I care to admit reading contracts, comparing royalty structures, reaching out to authors about their experiences and the more I learn the more I realize that finding the right book publisher is less about the biggest name and more about the right fit for your specific manuscript, your timeline, and your long-term goals as an author, so what actually made you feel confident that the publisher you chose was genuinely the right one?
